Privacy Policy

INTRODUCTION
At FreedomHubs (“we” or “us” or “our”) we are highly concerned about the privacy abuses and exploits commonly found on the internet these days. We compiled an easy list of links at the bottom of this policy that allows you to OPT OUT of many of the tracking bots and algorithms running on virtually every website you visit. Please feel free to share those links with friends and family, so we can all join in together and #TakeBackOurTech (https://takebackourtech.org/about/)
We respect the privacy of our visitors (“user” or “you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website Learn.FreedomHubs.org, including any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related or connected thereto, if applicable (collectively, the “Site”).
Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the site. We limit tracking as much as possible, and only analyze site traffic.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date of this Privacy Policy. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Site, and you waive the right to receive specific notice of each such change or modification.
We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of and have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Site after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.

Data From Social Networks
As you may have noticed, we are not on any of the Big Tech social networks. Just like millions of other users across the world, we no longer trust them nor their exploitative business models. Regardless of which political side you’re on, data privacy concerns every single internet user on the planet. We believe in freedom of speech, free and open discussion, and public discourse – all cornerstones of a strong democracy/representative republic. We ARE, however, using many of the alternative social media platforms who offer their users privacy protection and data ownership – how it should be. We have no control over their policies and business practices but your user information from social networking sites, such as Facebook, Google, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, including your name, your social network username, location, gender, birth date, email address, profile picture, and public data for contacts, MAY BE transferred to us if you choose to connect your account to such social networks and/or interact with our Site via these networks.

When you access the Site, your personal information is NOT collected through the use of tracking technology. We receive only anonymous traffic data. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you use a Private Window or modify your browser’s settings to delete cookies/browsing data when you close it, that data will be erased. You can remove or reject cookies, but be aware that such action could affect the availability and functionality of the Site, especially when you are logged into the membership backend. You may not decline web beacons. However, they can be rendered ineffective by declining all cookies or by modifying your web browser’s settings to notify you each time a cookie is tendered, permitting you to accept or decline cookies on an individual basis.

We do not now, but may in the future, use third-party software to serve ads on the Site, implement email marketing campaigns, and manage other interactive marketing initiatives. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and applications of interest, including advertisements and external services that are not affiliated with us. Once you have used these links to leave the Site, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information. Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Site.
SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information. No one can.
POLICY FOR CHILDREN
We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 13, please contact us.
CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we have no control over whether our ecommerce platform currently responds to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy. Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. If you set the DNT signal on your browser, we will do our best to respond to such DNT browser signals.

- Logging into your account settings and updating your account

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate and/or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Membership Agreement, Terms of Use and/or comply with legal requirements.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are Californians to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a Californian and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us.
If you are under 18 years of age, live in California, and have a registered account with the Site, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Site. To request removal of such data, please contact us and include the email address associated with your account and a statement that you live in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the Site, but please be aware that the data may not be completely or comprehensively removed from our systems.
Additionally, as a Californian, you can (and should) take advantage of the California Consumer Protection Act. You may ask businesses to disclose what personal information they have about you and what they do with that information, to delete your personal information and not to sell your personal information. You also have the right to be notified, before or at the point businesses collect your personal information, of the types of personal information they are collecting and what they may do with that information. Businesses cannot discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA. Businesses cannot make you waive these rights, and any “Terms & Conditions” contract provision that says you waive these rights is unenforceable.
Online Tracking Opt-Out Guide
While we did not list/index our site with Google (and don’t intend to), like many companies online, Google and other companies that use tracking technology may still provide their unsolicited “services” on this site. These services rely on tracking technologies – such as cookies and web beacons – to collect directly from your device information about your browsing activities, your interactions with websites, and the device you are using to connect to the Internet. There are a number of ways to opt out of having your online activity and device data collected through these services, which we have summarized below:
- Blocking cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies, including cookies used for interest-based advertising. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your device and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
- Blocking advertising ID use in your mobile settings. Your mobile device settings may provide functionality to limit use of the advertising ID associated with your mobile device for interest-based advertising purposes.
- Using privacy plug-ins or browsers. You can block websites from setting cookies used for interest-based ads by using a browser with privacy features, like LibreWolf, or installing browser plugins like Privacy Badger, Ghostery or uBlock Origin, and configuring them to block third party cookies/trackers.
- Platform opt-outs. The following advertising partners offer opt-out features that let you opt-out of use of your information for interest-based advertising:
Google: https://adssettings.google.com
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/about/ads
Outbrain: https://my.outbrain.com/recommendations-settings/home
- Advertising industry opt-out tools. You can also use these opt-out options to limit use of your information for interest-based advertising by participating companies:
Digital advertising Alliance: http://optout.aboutads.info
Network Advertising Initiative: http://optout.networkadvertising.org/? c=1
Note that because these opt-out mechanisms are specific to the device or browser on which they are exercised, you will need to opt-out on every browser and device that you use.
